Safety and crisis lines

Bosong is a mood diary. It is not a medical service and does not replace diagnosis, treatment or a conversation with a professional.

If you are in danger right now

If you might hurt yourself or someone else, or need urgent help, call your local emergency number now (for example 119 in Korea and Japan, 112 in the EU, 999 or 112 in the UK, 911 in the United States and Canada). You don’t have to carry this alone.

Crisis lines

These are independent services; XIUSoft is not affiliated with them. Hours, costs and ways to reach them (call, text or chat) vary by service.

What Bosong is, and what it is not

Bosong is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease. Your entries and statistics cannot tell whether you have a health condition; if you are worried about your health, please talk to a doctor or another qualified professional.

Bosong helps you write down and look back on how you feel. It does not give medical advice, does not assess risk and is not monitored by anyone. Nobody at XIUSoft reads your entries, and we cannot see if you are in trouble. Please don’t rely on Bosong in an emergency.

The help card

Bosong keeps a list of places where you can talk to someone; you can open it at any time from Settings > Help. When an entry contains some words that people often use on very hard days, Bosong also shows this list as a gentle card. This is a simple word match on your device. It is not an assessment of how you are, it is not monitored by anyone, and neither your text nor the fact that the card appeared is ever sent anywhere. It can miss things and can appear when it isn’t needed.

How XIU talks on heavy days

After a sad, anxious or angry entry, XIU only says calm, short things and never tries to cheer you up or fix how you feel. Reminders never mention your feelings or what you wrote, and Bosong never uses streaks or guilt to bring you back.

Talk to someone

If your feelings stay heavy for a long time, if you can’t sleep or eat, or if everyday things feel impossible, please talk to a doctor, a counsellor or someone you trust. Reaching out is a strong thing to do.
